Kuch dair pehle neend se
Kuch ashk milne aagaye
Kuch khuaab bhi tootey huye
Kuch log bhi bhooley huye

Kuch gard mein lipti hui
Kuch be-panah pheli hui
Kuch khol mein simti hui
Bey-rabt si sochein kai ..
Bhooli hui baatein kai ..
Ik shaks ki yaadein kai ..

Phir dair tak jaagey rahe
Sochon mein gum bethey rahe
Ungli se thandey farsh per ..
Ik naam bus likhtey rahe ..

Kal raat bhi wo raat thi
Kuch dair pehle neend se
Ham dair tak rotey rahe ...!!!
